Jackrabbit RMI and Maven
Hi everyone,
The jackrabbit-jcr-rmi pom on ibiblio for version 1.1 is currently "not
found". Is there a reason for this? Is this only temporary?
Also, the pom for 1.0.1 refers to the jcr api as "jsr170:jcr:1.0", is there
any chance of getting this changed to "javax.jcr:jcr:1.0"? (Which is what
the POM for jackrabbit-core-1.0.1 refers to).
Cheers,
Daniel

Any ETA on when this will be resolved with the main repo? If its not known,
I will just put it in my repo (which is fine, but just another thing to
remember to update !).

BTW, if you need this urgently, you can work around the problem by
adding http://people.apache.org/repo/m1-ibiblio-rsync-repository/ to
your maven.repo.remote property to access the Jackrabbit 1.1 artifacts
directly from the ASF server. Using the rsync repository is however
not recommended as a long term solution, since that puts extra load on
our servers.

I sent a followup email to repository@apache.org (the people in charge
of the ibiblio synchronization scripts) to check why the problem
persists. I'll let you know when I have an update on the situation.

So where/when can we look for jackrabbit 1.1 in the repository? Isn't
apache and jackrabbit under the same organization, I'd expect things to
move much more rapidly.

The ASF server that's used for synchronizing Apache releases with the
Ibiblio Maven repository recently crashed and is now being replaced.
It might be that there's still some problem with the synchronization
script.

See http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-592.
I'm wondering why it's actually changed in the 1.0.1 POM, that's
certainly not what I uploaded to people.apache.org! Probably because
of http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MEV-453.
