[Issue 126196] New: problem opening a new installation

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126196

          Issue ID: 126196
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: problem opening a new installation
           Product: Installation
           Version: 4.1.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P5
         Component: ui
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: woodlu34@gmail.com

I am 80 years old and fairly intelligent but your site is toooooo technical
for me.

I have had OpenOffice for a number of years and it has worked fairly well until
a couple of days ago when it would not open up after many tries. I finally
deleted the old copy and went to your official site to download a new edition.
Now I still cannot get it to open up even tho I went to the site that said
Windows 7 was supported. What am I doing wrong and PLEASE don't make the
solution too technical.
