   @tampler 
   I do not understand why you run a openvpn server on host.
   
   for IP 10.205.x.x, you can use a shared network.
   for IP 185.185.x.x, you can use either an isolated network (recommended) or a shared network.
   
   therefore, it looks basic zone does not meet your requirements. you need to create an advanced zone (or advanced zone with security groups but it does not support isolated networks).
   
   for your questions,
   (1) I have ever created some environments with only 1 bridge (cloudbr0) for testing, it looks ok. It is not suggested to use it in production (it is ok for testing).
   (2) it is much easier to create a zone on GUI than cmk.
