xmlbeans line number question

I tried to use setLoadLineNumbers in xmlbeans v1 without success. 
>From what I see in the code it looks like line numbers only work
when the Piccolo parser is used.

I would like to talk to someone about changing this.  

Attached are my mods ( just Root.java ). A search for
'line_number_fix' will show where I made modifications.  The
change basically lets the parser provide the start Locator.
