how to get the user name?

Hi all,

                For I have to do a project, Ive to know that the user who
checked out the resource, when I want to check in the resource. If the
resource is not checked out by me ,I can not check  the resource in, though
the slide support the different user can check in the resource which has
checked out by another user.
