and async logging

Erick Erickson resolved SOLR-13327.
-----------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
I recently changed tests to use synchronous logging, see SOLR-13268 so this won't be done.

> Going to async logging is surfacing some issues with tests at least as well as the Prometheus exporter. I'm fixing things up as I can, but assuming that we get all the tests in shape and anything like SOLR-13290 fixed, I want to be confident that the fixes for async logging don't adversely affect synchronous logging.
> I don't have a clue yet _how_ to have the test framework use one or the other, so far the difference is entirely in the configuration files. I suppose one variant would be to have separate sync and async config files and use one or the other, but I'd like to find a more elegant way. Any ideas welcome.
> Assigning to myself to keep track of it but I wouldn't be hurt if someone wanted to grab it ;)
