Automatic removal of log files

Summary: Automatic removal of log files
           Product: Tomcat 4
           Version: 4.0.1 Final
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows 9x
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Unknown
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: lpv@texas.net

Hi,
TC generates quite a few log files and I think it's a good
idea to have TC remove these files automatically. Some of us
only look at log files if there are problems. This would
help to sorta make TC maintenance-free. Perhaps there should
be a parameter named something like 'maxLogFileAge' and with
a value of '5' and that all log files older than 5 days are
removed.

Thanks
