HELP: Saxon Integration Problem: Compile Time Slow Down?
Dear Cocoon User Group:
I have "successfully" substituted Xalan with Saxon!
My typically XSLT transform times have dropped from
900ms to 300ms or better! Overall performance of
the web site has improved by a factor of two!
Very nice! Instruction at available at
http://www.candlelightsoftware.com/cocoon.html
which have been collected from this user group.
However, the Cocoon Xsp "compile phase" ( the time
required when an xsp file has changed) to create a
java file and compile it, has increased by a factor
of three or more. Instead of taking two to three
seconds with Xalan, the same page now requires
around 10 seconds!
Hmm? Anyone have any ideas of why this would be and
how to correct it? Or even how I could specify the
Xalan product for this phase and somehow still use
Saxon for the run-time phase?
Thanks in Advance:
Steve Punte
