If hosted on Apache servers it's not currently possible. If someone went to the effort of getting a licence from Adobe to distribute the SDK it would be possible to host it elsewhere I believe.

That would be ideal but not sure that version of AIR supported native extensions which we use in the installer.

You can use the installation scripts to package up the SDK instead and they should work on Linux without any changes now.

Is it not possible to have the full package (with dependencies) created for
Windows packaged as a zip or tar with a download link (as it used to be)?
The fact that we can create the package in Windows and it works in Linux
shows this works.
On the other hand it would mean stepping down the installer to work in the
version of AIR supported by Linux or creating a PPA so it can be installed
via Synaptic. Is this the direction you intend to follow?
