As I understand it, much of the product/profile service functionality has been subsumed by the "web-grid" component (i.e., the tutorials at http://oodt.jpl.nasa.gov are horribly out of date). In the collaboration between CHLA and JPL, we are working on a brand new, large-scale deployment of OODT that requires the web-grid component (and other software that currently lives in the "closed" JPL repository and in the old jpl.eda... namespace). We would like to import the web-grid component to the new ASF repository so that we can work with the apache "version" of OODT, rather than the older stuff.
I am willing to undertake this task, as our project needs it, with guidance from Chris and Andrew Hart.
