[jira] [Created] (FLUME-1504) Test file channel times out randomly

Hari Shreedharan created FLUME-1504:
---------------------------------------

             Summary: Test file channel times out randomly
                 Key: FLUME-1504
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLUME-1504
             Project: Flume
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Hari Shreedharan
            Assignee: Hari Shreedharan

Some tests wait on checkpoint.lastModified and end up timing out because the checkpoint may have occurred the check itself. Also:
      {code}
      if(t1 - checkpoint.lastModified() > 15000){
        throw new TimeoutException("Checkpoint was expected,"
                + " but did not happen");
      }
 {code}
does not make sense. It should be System.currentTimeMillis() - checkpoint.lastModified()
