[users@httpd] Strange 2.0 Quirk - or a strange 1.3 quirk?
Hey folks,
Recently upgraded to Apache 2.0 Win32, and I've encountered a strange
problem. One of the reasons I use apache is so I can stream mp3s from
my home computer while I am at work. Previously, I simply had my /mp3
directory have a custom headerfile, which contained a link to a perl
script that would send back a playlist of the files in the directory
requested (so I could play all of one artist, all of one cd, etc).
In the upgrade, I incidently lost my httpd.conf file, so perhaps I'm
remembering incorrectly, but I swear all my header did was link to a
play.pl?dir= and then echo the document_uri, which was the current
directory.
Not only does this no longer work in apache 2.0 (it always prints
/header.shtml), but based on what I read of the documentation, it wasn't
supposed to work in 1.3, either! Anyone have any clever ideas of how to
put a link at the top of a directory list that contains as part of the
url the currently open directory? I know it used to be possible in 1.3,
as I used my play.pl file constantly until the upgrade.
Thanks.
