Thanks Jake.  Looks like this just changes the workflow and sets the status.  Ideally I was hoping that this would at least be able to run a Jenkins job with the patch applied.  Even better would be that if a committer submitted the patch and the Jenkins job passed the patch would be committed.  Is this a "pipe dream"?
