mirrors question

Hi,
does anybody knows how the apache mirrors list is stored ? I mean, is a
database, or a clear text file or maybe a csv file ?
I need this information because I was thinking to write some small
piece of software (under the GPL license) to be used with metalink.

Look at the link I sent you. The main database is the same format
(tab-delimited text) with some information removed and some added.

We're not going to release the main database because it contains email
addresses. But the one that drives our live mirroring system is here:
http://www.apache.org/mirrors/mirrors.list
