[jira] [Created] (BOOKKEEPER-284) Review ZooKeeper usage in BookKeeper

Ivan Kelly created BOOKKEEPER-284:
-------------------------------------

Summary: Review ZooKeeper usage in BookKeeper
                 Key: BOOKKEEPER-284
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BOOKKEEPER-284
             Project: Bookkeeper
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Ivan Kelly
             Fix For: 4.2.0

The current implementation of BookKeeper's constructor is synchronous as it has to wait for zookeeper to connected before doing anything. There is also a TODO for how do handle zookeeper disconnects in BookKeeper. This JIRA is to review how we use ZooKeeper in bookkeeper and what we should do about the aforementioned issues.
