How to map root of context to Action?

How can I map the root URL of my webapp to an Action?  I want it to 
handle the path "/".  I currently have "*.do" URLs mapped to the 
servlet, but when I tried also mapping "/", that servlet suddenly tried 
to handle every URL on the site.
