[jira] [Updated] (DERBY-6207) Update policy files in java/drda/org/apache/derby/drda

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-6207?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

Mike Matrigali updated DERBY-6207:
----------------------------------

    Labels: derby_backport_reject_10_10  (was: )

this looks like a change that applies to newer jvm's, but may not apply to jvm's supported in previous releases so marking as not appropriate for backport.

> The java/drda/org/apache/derby/drda/template.policy and java/drda/org/apache/derby/drda/server.policy files both include the following line, which I understand is no longer needed:
>   permission java.util.PropertyPermission "derby.storage.jvmInstanceId",
>       "write";
> It should be removed from both.
> Possibly the template.policy file, which is used as the JDK demos/db/templates/server.policy file, should have some further changes to reflect current recommendations.
