[jira] [Created] (SPARK-29370) Interval strings without explicit unit markings

Maxim Gekk created SPARK-29370:
----------------------------------

             Summary: Interval strings without explicit unit markings
                 Key: SPARK-29370
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-29370
             Project: Spark
          Issue Type: Sub-task
          Components: SQL
    Affects Versions: 3.0.0
            Reporter: Maxim Gekk

In PostgreSQL, Quantities of days, hours, minutes, and seconds can be specified without explicit unit markings. For example, '1 12:59:10' is read the same as '1 day 12 hours 59 min 10 sec'. For example:
{code}
maxim=# select interval '1 12:59:10';
    interval
----------------
 1 day 12:59:10
(1 row)
{code}
