For the record, yarn has one great feature that I don't think npm has: [resolutions](https://yarnpkg.com/en/docs/package-json#toc-resolutions).
There is though a package to handle this use case with npm, see [this SO answer](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/52416312/npm-equivalent-of-yarn-resolutions).
