   I was able to reproduce the situation with the current version; I will try to test the patch in the next few days.
   
   Though, I agree with @DaanHoogland about the "cancel the old API requests" message; we should make it explicity to the operators and users that the backend will continue to process the request, and that the UI will just ignore the results.
