SOAP Admin Tool - Java Provider -Static Vs NonStatic ?

Hi all,


In the SOAP Admin utility there is a 
Combobox that allows the user to specify
if the Java Provider is Static or not
(Yes/No option). If we choose yes does
it provide the same instance of the
Java class to all users issuing SOAP
requests to the class.
In such a case can i maintain state between
two requests by storing data in member
variables that another request can subsequently
use.
