   @rongzha1 From your code M should be num_cols(61400), that is a pretty big number.
   Update: I tested my changes with a smaller M too, with:
   num_rows = 1000000
   test_rows = 20000
   num_cols = 8
   I got:
   before: 1.8296743018731323 GB/s
   after: 10.363484717590893 GB/s
