Verified the hash and the signature. Ran tests as well as hello-samza with all 3 jobs and verified output.

Checked signature on archive and tag, built and ran a number of source jobs. Including one that would have broken with SAMZA-226. All looks good.

One thing -- note the tag in the below email still says rc0 instead of the release-0.8.0-rc1 tag -- just in case you do a  copy/paste for the main incubator vote.

This is a call for a vote on a release of Apache Samza 0.8.0 (incubating). This is our second release in the Apache Incubator. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this release.

The release candidate can be downloaded from here:

The release candidate is signed with pgp key 980AF123CF9730D3, which is included in the repository's KEYS file:
