   This PR has not found support by the community for quite some time. I'm not sure if it is still mergeable especially with the new Blink SQL runtime [FLINK-11439](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-11439). I will close the PR for now. Feel free to reopen it if you think it still makes sense to keep the contribution.
