following field lengths are used in editcontactmech.ftl
CountryCode = 10
AreCode = 10
PhoneNumber = 15
Extension = 10
I am not sure CountryCode/AreaCode of 10 makes sense. But atleast both these pages should be in synch

Hello Sascha,
No problem. I reported it as bug because the phone number entered via
admin errored out on checkout page (due to size limit).

Hi Kiran,
thanks for reporting.
i fixed that only in the trunk (because it's no bug).
I'm also not sure if a size from 10 is the right choice but anyway having the both ftl's in line is a good idea.
