[users@httpd] Tomcat vs Apache 2.0.43

Hello;
   Can anyone tell me if there is any advantage in using Tomcat vs
regular Apache 2.0.43?

Hi,

if you would like to use servlets and JSP for dynamic content a lot then you could use only Tomcat. It is also rather fast compared cgi scripts, unless you use mod_perl, which makes Perl scripts really fast for Apache. If you would like to serve a lot of static HTML pages Apache will also be a lot faster.
I am not really sure, but due to Javas security controls it might be a bit more secure as well.

Do you know that yu can combine them?
I guess it depends what you want to accomplish.

Jurgen
