[Trinidad] v1.0.9 on Tomcat 5.5.26
Hello all,
I've been trying to upgrade the version of Trinidad we use in one of our
web apps to 1.0.9. When I come to deploy the web app on Tomcat v5.5.26 I
get an error in the logs when the Trinidad faces-config.xml is parsed.
To check the issue is not down to incompatible libraries in our web app
I tried to deploy the Trinidad 1.0.9 examples web app on a clean install
of Tomcat v5.5.26 but I get the same error.
Every other version of Trinidad from 1.0.4 to 1.0.8 works fine on Tomcat
5.5.26, it's just 1.0.9 that I'm getting this error. Is there an issue
with 1.0.9 as I've noticed this version has only just been released?
The error I'm seeing in the logs is (it's repeated for various
elements):
---
INFO: Reading config

Bug has been opened. :)
I've gone back to use 1.0.8 in our web app for the time being.

TRINIDAD-1056 (the change on the XSL) caused it.
for the JSF 1.2 version of the XSL, the change is fine.

Hi,
Just got round to trying out the fix, had to checkout revision 685045
from the 12th Aug but it works fine now, thanks!
My original reason for upgrading our web app was to fix the NPE error
shown to unknown user agents like Konqueror & GoogleBot (don't want
Google indexing an error).
I'm still getting a NPE error when I access the trinidad-demo (built
using checked out revision above) from Konqueror? I thought this was
fixed according to TRINIDAD-1059 ?

using an older version of the "Trinidad plugins" (1.2.6 instead of 1.2.7)
the problem is gone.
Temporary fix:
-I am now using 1.2.6 on trunk
Can you do a check out of:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/myfaces/trinidad/trunk
run the build (mvn install) and try the -api and -impl jars
on your application ? The issue should be gone.
long term fix:
check the plugins ;-)
