Notice in the JSP servlet code generated by 5.5.23, the method name and variable
name corresponding to JSP tag has a different pattern from previous revisions,
specifically the '005f' after the '_' character:
private boolean _jspx_meth_bean_005fmessage_005f0
(javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.JspTag _jspx_th_html_005fhtml_005f0, PageContext
_jspx_page_context)
In 5.5.20, it looks like:
private boolean _jspx_meth_bean_message_0(javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.JspTag
_jspx_th_html_html_0, PageContext _jspx_page_context)

No this is not a discussion! I believe this is caused by a bug in:
class org.apache.jasper.compiler.JspUtil {
public static final String makeJavaIdentifier(String identifier) { }
}
input: bean_message_0
expected: bean_message_0
actual: output: bean_005fmessage_005f0
Our product assume the naming pattern which has been consistent in the previous
revision and was broken by the change.
