The patch looks ok . However It builds with Xerces 3.0 , but still fails with Xerces2.7 . I'm just wondering , because the current Xerces interfaces aren't stable yet , may be it worth to create "typedef XalanSize_t XMLSize_t" somewhere in PlatformDefinitions.h and limit references to XMLSize_t in the code.
PS : Failures of the build with Xerces27:
