Tomcat 4.0 Cluster support

Can anyone tell me what the current status of the clustering support in
Tomcat 4.0 is?  I need to set up a redundant cluster of Tomcat machines in
the next few months, and I'd prefer to work with the existing code, rather
than develop something from scratch.
