Website

Hi all,
Inspired by the recent work done by Mark and co. on the OWB website, I've
been working with Twitter Bootstrap to reorganize our content into a
(hopefully) more attractive site, and incorporating the logo generously
donated by Adonis Radeuca and IRIAN. Please have a look at
http://bval.staging.apache.org/index.html .

Thanks,
Matt

What browser are you guys using? The image is getting resized huge on
Chrome due to the responsive layout; however it looks good on Firefox. I
like the responsive layout all in all, though. I will keep trying to
figure this out as time permits.

Looks good!

The most important benefit will be that it's much easier to maintain than the confluence imported stuff I guess.

Same notes as Roman:
* The main logo is a bit large atm ;)
* There are a quite some menu points in the main menu. Maybe merge the 'Development' into the 'Community' menu? Not sure, still fiddling around with the menu structure over at OWB and DS...
* Jean-Louis now moved the ASF feather logo to the footer. This leaves more space for the main menu. Again, still trying to get it looking good.
* Having the BVal logo in the header doesn't eat up much space and is a nice goodie. I used height="25px" for the OWB logo.

Basically we can use the same menu structure for BVal, OWB and DeltaSpike imo. Would reduce the maintenance costs ;)

Hi,

not that bad ;)

i'd put a little logo on the top (like on owb) and put the home page
one a little smaller (you should have a really big screen compared to
my own one :p)

Re: Website

Okay, I've addressed the sizing issues by removing the large-display code
in the bootstrap-responsive css, and reducing the logo size. I've also
added the small BVal logo as the home link. I am not convinced the menus
are a problem, though I'm happy to continue discussing them. I think all
who have responded are in agreement the site looks much better, so I'll be
pushing it out to production momentarily.
