[jira] [Commented] (GUACAMOLE-643) Filter should not hide connection group

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-643?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16843784#comment-16843784 ]

Claudio Signorini commented on GUACAMOLE-643:
---------------------------------------------

Hi [~nick.couchman@yahoo.com].

The situation I described is different.

Let's start with these connections and connections groups:
 * development
 ** abc1.cow.it
 ** abc2.cow.it
 * production
 ** abc3.cow.it

In that moment, if I type "zzz" in the search bar all the connections and all the connection groups disappear, as you correctly stated in you comment. And that behaviour is ok.

But, if you type "abc" in the search bar, all the connection groups disappear, and only the connections remain:
 * abc1.cow.it
 * abc2.cow.it
 * abc3.cow.it

In this way I cannot understand to which group the "abc3.cow.it" connection belongs.

So, I would like to configure the connection groups in a way that they don't disappear if there is a connection that matches the search criteria.

I have a custom implementation of this behaviour. I will pull a merge request in the next hours.

> Hi!
> Is thereĀ a way (or can be implemented) to configure a connection group that filters do not hide even if the name does not match?
> Example... I use connection group to group connection by environment:
>  * development
>  ** abc1.cow.it
>  ** abc2.cow.it
>  * production
>  ** abc3.cow.it
> When I type "abc" in the filter, the two connection groups hide. And I can't understand the environment of the connection. I would like the connection group won't hide.
> Thanks
