[jira] [Commented] (NIFI-1171) If a file rolls over multiple times between invocations of TailFile, Processor doesn't pick up all changes

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-1171?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15006738#comment-15006738 ]

Bryan Bende commented on NIFI-1171:
-----------------------------------

[~markap14] I was having some problems applying this patch, from the command line I get:

Applying: NIFI-1171: If multiple rollovers occur while the Processor is still running, we need to ensure that we account for that and consume all of the data
fatal: sha1 information is lacking or useless

Through IntelliJ it applied, but had some compilation errors... is it possible there is a commit that is missing that should have been in this patch?

> If TailFile is scheduled to run less often, say once per minute, and the file that it is tailing rolls over multiple times, it does not pick up all of the changes. We need to ensure that it picks up all of the changes to the log file in this case.
