           Summary: Request: control source/target of javac through a
                    property
           Product: Ant
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: nichoj@alum.rpi.edu

Seeing as it is possible to specify the compiler javac uses through
"build.compiler", I think it would be extremely useful to be able to control
which VM version to generate class files for. This would be of particular
interest to downstream packagers, in order to finely tune which VM versions a
package would be compiled for.
