TDK2.2b1 has working newapp?

Hi folks,

I'm a bit confused as to whether the TDK 2.2b1 has a working newapp sample 
app.

The instructions which come in the archive talk about a page which is no 
longer on the website (very bad). Further instructions on the website TDK 
howto says to edit the build.properties file, but doesn't explain how.

With the old 2.1 system this was fairly simple. It was reasonably obvious 
where to stick the jdbc driver, database type, and so on. But with the 
later 2.2 system it seems to have gotten far far more complicated.

The newapp system is supposed to be new users first step into Turbine and 
if I can't use it then no newbie will.

Can anyone confirm that the newapp (Ant init) building system works for 
them with tdk2.2b1.

(Or should I go back to tdk2.1?)

there is already a tdk2.2b2 .. it works for me ... but it's still a beta release
there will be another beta later this week or maybe next week

i'll work on the docs to make it easier to use
