[jira] Commented: (INFRA-1400) cwiki looses chinese characters,
replaced with ????

Gavin commented on INFRA-1400:
------------------------------
This 'seems' to be just a config issue, but I don't have karma to look.
Someone with 5 minutes and karma to spare should check that :-
Database is UTF-8
Confluence is UTF-8
Autoexport is UTF-8
JConnector is UTF-8
If any one of those is not UTF-8 then it will cause the chinese chars to dissapear.
If all are in place, then chinese chars stay.
I have tested this locally and for 3 days now chinese chars are still in place on the autoexport site.
Only caveat with my testing is I am using newer Confluence and newer Autoexport.
(possibly a granny-egg-sucking moment, but no-one has indicated that ALL the above has been checked and correct)

> In Tuscany, we are trying to get a Chinese version of our website, where the contents come from a Confluence Wiki. While preparing for that, we noticed that after a given time, usually overnight or so, we loose all the Chinese characters and they become "????". Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix this ? Sample pages at [1] and [2], and a discussion thread on the Tuscany dev-list at [3].
