Hi Sean,
actually the SemRecSysDataModelBean implements the DataModel interface. This can be seen in the UML Diagram. Therefore it is returning a LongPrimitiveArrayIterator.
Serializing the underlying array in case of a remote call is completely ok with me. I need this for testing purposes. At the moment I have one DataModel implementation and I have one testing class but in further research I want to blend multiple DataModels into each other.

It would help me a lot if I would be able to make test cases for all these models.
