[Bug 121688] New: Excel XML format (aka XML SS, not XLSX) should
support repeatable printing rows/columns
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=121688
Bug ID: 121688
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Excel XML format (aka XML SS, not XLSX) should support
repeatable printing rows/columns
Classification: Application
Product: spreadsheet
Version: AOO 3.4.1
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: save-export
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: bdv@inec.ru
CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Created attachment 80183
--> https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=80183&action=edit
Excel-2010 generated XML SS worksheet, with printable headers.
Spreashsheets have a feature to repeat given rows and/or columns on every
printed page as headers.
In OOo it is reached via Format / Printing Area / Change menu
However that information is lost in both saving to and reading from Excel XML
2002 files.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa140066(office.10).aspx#odc_xmlss_ss:namedcell
The information is stored by making specifically names ("Print_Titles") Named
range and including the cells into it.
Thus
1) the worksheets tag should contain specific range.
For example this is generated by Excel 2010 for $@:$# rows and $B:$D columns
<Worksheet ss:Name="Лист1">
<Names>
<NamedRange ss:Name="Print_Titles" ss:RefersTo="=Лист1!C2:C4,Лист1!R2:R3"/>
</Names>
<Table ss:ExpandedColumnCount="5" ss:ExpandedRowCount="65536"
x:FullColumns="1"
This can (and probably should) be safely reduced, omitting the volatile sheet
name.
<Worksheet ss:Name="Лист1">
<Names>
<NamedRange ss:Name="Print_Titles" ss:RefersTo="=C2:C4,R2:R3"/>
</Names>
<Table ss:ExpandedColumnCount="5" ss:ExpandedRowCount="65536"
x:FullColumns="1"
However parser - on file open - should be able to extract the sheet name and
match it with the current sheet.
2) The very Cells should be given that pre-defined range name, like
<Cell ss:StyleID="s67">
<Data ss:Type="Number">
2
</Data>
<NamedCell ss:Name="Print_Titles"/>
</Cell>
<Cell ss:StyleID="s67">
<Data ss:Type="Number">
3
</Data>
<NamedCell ss:Name="Print_Titles"/>
</Cell>
