[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-7741) Don't use bulk assigner if
assigning just several regions
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-7741?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13569812#comment-13569812 ]
Jimmy Xiang commented on HBASE-7741:
------------------------------------
Thanks, Ram. I was wondering should we handle not just one region. In small cluster, especially the mini cluster for testing, using bulk assignment has some overhead in creating threads. It is not a big deal. But it could time out some unit test cases, for example, HBASE-7502 (I think it is related to region assignment latency. In mini cluster, all servers are in the same JVM, the thread scheduling may slow down something).
