Should `num_messages_in_batch` in the metadata be used for this? It seems that simply counting the number of messages doesn’t work since according to this issue it seems that it is possible to create a batch containing only a single message: <https://github.com/apache/pulsar-dotpulsar/issues/61>. Thanks!
