User interface configuration

Hello Support,

My name is Rubin. I successfully configured a Solr server.

I am using Velocity as the user interface. 

Is there a way to display any result only after users submit their request?

The current setting displays everything on the screen even before any
request is entered in the "Find" box.

Hi Rubin.

It's rather a question for the solr-user mailing list ( 
https://lucene.apache.org/solr/community.html ), I do use solr but never 
played with its velocity templating.
