   Proposal for the new feature takes time, and even revisited after years - till this proposal gets attention, you can try my project and see whether it fits to you - https://github.com/HeartSaVioR/spark-state-tools
   
   SPARK-27237 is still not applied to my project though (schema inference isn't working), so the usage is a bit different.
