[jira] [Commented] (MRM-2010) More informative error message for LDAP errors

Hi,

sorry, this error message is really not very helpful. Is there no stacktrace after or before this error message in the log?

Could you please increase the logging level for archiva to debug (WEB-INF/classes/log4j2.xml)  and try again?

Thx

Martin

> Hello dears,
> I'm trying to configure LDAP auth in Archiva. As a LDAP server we have Active Directory. All verification buttons shows green "OK" message, but when I save the configuration it shows an error like this in archiva.log:
> 2020-02-11 12:10:16,150 [qtp1190035432-21] INFO org.apache.archiva.webdav.RepositoryServlet [] - initServers done in 0 ms
> 2020-02-11 12:10:16,303 [qtp1190035432-16] WARN org.apache.cxf.phase.PhaseInterceptorChain [] - Application \{http://services.rest.redback.archiva.apache.org/}
> DefaultUserService has thrown exception, unwinding now
> org.apache.cxf.interceptor.Fault: null
>  at org.apache.cxf.service.invoker.AbstractInvoker.createFault(AbstractInvoker.java:163) ~[cxf-core-3.0.3.jar:3.0.3]
>
> Can somebody make this more readable so it would be easier to recognize what exactly is wrong with the configuration? Please tell if any other information needed. Thanks!
