devicemap clients
Hi,
could you explain me what is the purpose of devicemap* modules. I looked
into java client code and they looks like *standalone* applications,
which use user-agent string to recognize device. Am I right, or I'm
missing sth?
If I'm not wrong, then what is relation between these modules and
openddr library, which is also part of project and does the same thing?
Regards,
Milosz

Milosz, you are correct regarding your description of the client. The
OpenDDR client had some core problems, most notable:
-did not build out of the box due to dependencies
The rewrite accomplished the following:
-Apache licensing
-simple design, easily portable to other languages
-performant, classification runtime is well under 1ms
-the client uses a more generic pattern classification algorithm, accuracy
is more predictable
