Direct Component MQRC_SYNCPOINT_LIMIT_REACHED

Camel-Users,

I've migrated one of my routes from SEDA to DIRECT, and now am unexpectedly
getting a websphere reason code 2024: syncpoint limit reached. Is there a
syncpoint inherent to SEDA routes that need be explicitly stated in DIRECT?
