Apache resources for you
Hey All,
Since we have a number of new Apache committers in this group, just
sending some info to help you get better connected with other Apache
people.
Probably would be good to add your info here (see "Managing Your
Details"):
http://people.apache.org/
There's an svn repo just for committers:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/private/committers
In that repo are things like who's talking at ApacheCon, rdf files
for each committer, and a bunch of other random things. There's a
corresponding mailing list for it committers@apache.org (committers-
subscribe@apache.org)
You definitely want to subscribe to community@apache.org (community-
subscribe@apache.org). It's basically like a general@apache.org type
of list. Feel free to post anything you like even if it's off topic
like "Hey, I'm in Boston visiting, any apache people in boston want
to get together?"
There's also the jcp-open@apache.org list (jcp-open-
subscribe@apache.org) which is open to all committers which deals
with Apache as it relates to the JCP (Java Community Process). That
has been a hot list lately, definitely good to subscribe.
The infrastructure@apache.org is good if you're interested in Apache
Infrastructure from a participant perspective. If you have an
infrastructure issue you're generally encouraged to create a JIRA at
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA
A couple people have neat "ASF info" types of pages they generate
which I think are useful/fun:
http://people.apache.org/~jim/committers.html
http://people.apache.org/~coar/mlists.html
http://people.apache.org/~stefano/agora/
If anyone else has anything to throw in, please do!
-David
