[I] Time range changed to TO_DATE('2023-10-30', 'YYYY-MM-DD') [superset]

dannymk opened a new issue, #25796:
URL: https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/25796

   Adding a time range filter and selecting a proper time range such as midnight until NOW (2023-10-30 15:00:00) makes the query:

   SELECT store AS store,
          count(issue_hour) AS "COUNT(issue_hour)"
   FROM
     (select left(d.network_hostname, 4) store,
             s.pass_date issue_date,
             extract(HOUR
                     FROM s.pass_date) issue_hour
      from passes s
      join system d on s.system_id = d.system_id) AS virtual_table
   WHERE issue_date >= TO_DATE('2023-10-30', 'YYYY-MM-DD')
     AND issue_date < TO_DATE('2023-10-30', 'YYYY-MM-DD')
   GROUP BY store
   ORDER BY "COUNT(issue_hour)" DESC
   LIMIT 1000;

   #### How to reproduce the bug

   1. Go to the dashboard
   2. Click on 'view query' for the specified chart
   3. See generated sql

   ### Expected results

   The query should show TO_TIMESTAMP instead of TO_DATE when using time range

   ### Actual results

   WHERE issue_date >= TO_DATE('2023-10-30', 'YYYY-MM-DD')
     AND issue_date < TO_DATE('2023-10-30', 'YYYY-MM-DD')

   #### Screenshots

   If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.
