With OAK-6227 done in [r1797739|https://svn.apache.org/r1797739], done scheduling of blob purge at [r1797740|https://svn.apache.org/r1797740].
*EDIT*: [r1797778|https://svn.apache.org/r1797778] updated checkpoint mbean methods and have 2 methods instead. Refactored code for this issue wrt that change in the same commit.

Resolving this issue - further improvements (like stats, etc) to be done in separate issue(s).
