Karaf 3.0.0 Custom Distro Startup

Dear All,

I have a feature that depends on cxf and camel. When I install the feature
from the shell, the features that it depends on are installed automatically
as they are listed in the feature.xml.

However if I list the feature in the <startupFeatures></startupFeatures>
section or set the scope to compile the features that my feature depend on
are not installed automatically as is the case from the shell.

I could list the features in the pom and install them that way, but getting
it done automatically will be so much better.

Thanks for your advice in advance

Thanks for the replies and I look forward to the 3.0.1 Release. PS the new
way of building custom distros is way smart thanks for that.

Cheers,

Arthur

Hi Arthur,

yes it's a known issue. It also affects Karaf itself as the features XML
in <repository/> elements are not embedded in Karaf, preventing to
bootstrap without an Internet connection.

I started to work on this during the week end. It should be fixed
tonight and included in Karaf 3.0.1.

Sorry about that.

Regards
JB
