Learning to edit the incubator website

Hey all,

In order to publish the additional service offering with respect to release
management, I wanted to edit this page:
https://incubator.apache.org/guides/releasemanagement.html

This is my first time editing the incubator website. I've never used
asciidoc before either. And that page already has a handful of minor
errors. So I decided to make my first test run fixing those minor errors.
I cloned from, and committed and pushed to
https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator.git master.

What's the next step to get my changes published? Do we have documentation
for this somewhere?

Best Regards,
Myrle

Disregard my previous email. Apparently I already had it, and just needed
to be patient. : o)

Thank you anyways!

Hi -

Thanks Myrle! I’m new to AsciiDoctor too.

Every build includes the clutch analysis and takes about 3 minutes once Jenkins starts. Yesterday I had one build that waited about 10 minutes in queue. If you subscribe to cvs@incubator.apache.org you’ll see when the build completes as well.

Each update to the main trunk will trigger a build.

There is a timed daily build just after midnight UTC.

I’ll be updating the /projects/ page in a few hours to move that from svn to Git.

I plan to update the README to adjust for and better explain local builds as well.

Regards,
Dave

Thank you Bertrand!

Finding that would've saved me a bit of time and trouble. Hopefully we've
made it easier on the next person!

Myrle

I have updated https://incubator.apache.org/guides/website.html
(should be live in a few minutes) to remove redundant information and
point to the README at https://github.com/apache/incubator which
should provide all the required information.

It includes a link to
https://builds.apache.org/view/H-L/view/Incubator/job/Incubator%20Site/
where you can follow the site builds.
